On the 23rd June, supported by Explorer Travel, I will be cycling the first stage of this years Tour de France just one week before the Pro’s start the Tour. The route is a long 200km stage along the western coast of France.
This charity ride is in aid of Prostate Cancer UK and I have just surpassed my target of raising £1000. Prostate Cancer is the 3rd biggest Cancer killer in the UK and one man will die from the disease every 45 minutes. Awareness is key as caught early, successful treatment rates are high. Added to that the test is very simple and quick. In many cases a blood test can now be carried out.
Male, over 50, never been checked? If I can just get some people to go and have the test then my ride has been worthwhile.
